FnExec is founder-led and small on purpose. We are based in Burlington, Vermont, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where beauty and hard work go hand in hand.

Dave Hays, co-founder, is chief executive officer and chief financial officer, and the one to write to, at how@fnexec.com. He has run process improvement, legal, and technology change initiatives inside and alongside some of the world’s largest financial institutions, including Freddie Mac, Capital One, and US Fintech. In his free time he likes to tinker with his Buick Roadmaster wagon.

Rob Shields, co-founder, is chief technology officer. He has built advanced software for more than twenty years: at CombineNet in Pittsburgh, in research at Carnegie Mellon, and most recently as a principal software engineer at Google.

Rob and Dave began their careers working together, building advanced optimization software and making it accessible to businesses like P&G, Heinz, USPS and others.
